Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 2 August 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Bible Quest (the "Service"), a children's storytelling and learning app. The Service is provided by Quest for Life ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, purchasing a pass, or continuing to use the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.
1. Who may use Bible Quest
Bible Quest is designed for children aged roughly 7–14 and is intended to be set up and supervised by a parent or guardian. If you are creating an account, you confirm that you are of legal age in your country and, where you are acting for an organisation (such as a school or church group), that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity that happens under your account, and for providing accurate account information.
2. What we provide
The Service offers illustrated Bible story chapters based on the life of Jesus, voice narration, mini-games, collectible hero cards, progress tracking, offline chapter packs and a parent dashboard. Some chapters are free; others require a premium pass. We may add, change or remove chapters, games and features over time. Story wording is written in a non-denominational, child-friendly style and is educational in nature — it is not religious counsel or instruction from any particular church.
3. Licence and restrictions
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for personal, family or classroom use within the plan you have selected. You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense or publicly broadcast our stories, illustrations, audio or games, reverse engineer the Service, or circumvent technical limits, paywalls or usage restrictions.
4. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the Service. In particular, you must not:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable law;
- engage in fraud, payment abuse, spam or account sharing at scale;
- infringe our intellectual property or that of others, including by copying artwork, narration audio or story text;
- interfere with the security or integrity of the Service — no malware, probing, scraping, credential stuffing or automated bulk access.
5. Intellectual property
We (or our licensors) own the Service and everything in it, including the software, illustrations, character cards, narration, story adaptations, branding and documentation. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership to you. Underlying scriptural texts are in the public domain; our adaptations, artwork and presentation of them are not.
6. Payments, subscriptions and taxes
Premium access is sold as a monthly subscription or a one-time lifetime pass. Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval shown at checkout until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time — access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Prices are shown in your local currency where supported and may include tax.
Payment, billing, tax, invoicing, cancellation and refund mechanics are handled by our payment provider. Please see the Paddle Buyer Terms for the full details, and our Refund Policy.
7. Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
8. Service availability and warranties
We work hard to keep Bible Quest running, but we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or available at all times. Narration relies on your device's speech capabilities and availability of voices varies by device and language. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, suspected fraud or security risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. Where reasonable we will give notice first. You may stop using the Service at any time. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; you may request an export or deletion of your child's progress data as described in our Privacy Notice.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including loss of profits, data or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Changes, law and contact
We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notified in the app. These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Quest for Life is established, and disputes will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
